About Finely Functional Home Organization
Hi, I’m Tricia Nelson and I’m the owner of Finely Functional Home Organization. I love to help my clients define and refine their spaces and streamline their routines and workflows to work for them rather than against them.
I've always enjoyed helping people to alleviate difficulties in their lives and I am truly honored to be in the position to work with people in such a meaningful way. I will work with you side-by-side to accomplish your goals in a gentle, respectful, supportive, and non-judgemental manner.
Before becoming a professional organizer, I spent 20 years as a technical communicator, documenting software applications for various industries. Prior to that, I worked in accounting and administrative roles.
I hold a Graduate certificate in Technical Communications from Northeastern University and a B.A. in English (with a minor in Secondary Education) from Bridgewater State University. I also draw from many years of project management as a professional, parent, and volunteer.
I am a proud member of the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD), National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals (NAPO), and the NAPO - New England Chapter, where I previously served on the Board of Directors.
I hold the following L1 certificates of study from the ICD: Chronic Disorganization, Basic ADHD Issues with the CD Client, Understanding the needs of the Aging CD client, and CD Client Administration. In addition, I hold specialist certificates from NAPO: Residential Organizing, Life Transitions, Household Management, and Move Management and Staging.
I abide by the NAPO Code of Ethics, which states:
Working Relationships
I will serve my clients with integrity, competence, and objectivity, and will treat them with respect and courtesy.
I will offer services in those areas in which I am qualified and will accurately represent those qualifications in both verbal and written communications.
When unable or unqualified to fulfill requests for services, I will make every effort to recommend the services of other qualified organizers and/or other qualified professionals.
I will advertise my services in an honest manner and will represent the organizing profession accurately.
Confidentiality
I will keep confidential all client information, both business and personal, including that which may be revealed by other organizers.
I will use proprietary client information only with the client's permission.
I will keep client information confidential and not use it to benefit myself or my firm, or reveal this information to others.
